Health services will be available at the border
This is considered a major step towards providing fast, reliable, and technology-based health services to the jawans deployed in the remote desert border areas and the surrounding rural communities. Under the scheme, modern Health ATM units have been installed at seven strategic BSF locations.
These machines complete primary health tests in minutes and also provide digital health monitoring facilities. With the establishment of Health ATMs, soldiers will not have to travel long distances for any health check-up, while people in border villages have also gained access to modern health services nearby for the first time.
Features of Health ATM More than 50 diagnostic tests can be performed with integrated technology in this machine. These include
- Height, Weight, Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Vision Test
- Blood Pressure (BP)
- Hemoglobin
- ECG
- Blood Sugar (RBS)
- HbA1C
- Lipid Profile
- SPO2
- Body Temperature
- Body Fat Analysis
- Urine and Blood Basic Parameters
Health Report in 15 Minutes
Reports for all these tests are made available within 1015 minutes. The patient not only receives a printed copy of the report but also has the report sent directly to their WhatsApp. This makes follow-up easier and allows health-related decisions to be made in a timely manner.
